EXPORT YOUR TALENTS

1.      Through Knowledge of Policies: The Export Manager has to be well acquainted with the export-import policies of the country he is in and of other countries too, specifically the country he is dealing with. He should also be well-versed with FEMA/FERA (Foreign Exchange Management Act/ Foreign Exchange Regulation Act) rules, Foreign Trade Policy and Procedures and the incentives, facilities and benefits available to the exporter and service provider.

2.      Documentation and Presentation: An Export Manager has to have a command over export documentation i.e. documents should be designed in such a way that even tiny information about products should be covered. A well-designed documentation helps in fast clearance from customs and payment procedures.

3.      Well Informed: An Export Manager should be updated with the current industry scenario. His knowledge about the industry should be clear, accurate and succinct. He should be aware of the overseas as well as the native market, since both of them are very dynamic. Moreover, to know the nerve of the buyer’s, he should be well versed with markets.
